Time has gone by soooo fast and I haven't kept up the blog like I wanted to. *SORRY* School has kept me hopping as well as running around after a fully mobile toddler! People told me how fast time goes but I CANNOT believe how fast it truely does go. Kade is no longer just "crusing" along furniture, he runs around the house independently and has gotten daddy to baby proof the whole entire house. I'm not kidding either, we are sometimes referred to as "DisneyLand" as every room is filled with toys and all breakables are stored away.
Here are a couple pics of him ruling the kitchen area. This outfit is a 24 month size, he is my BIG BOY that's for sure!

We have retired the baby carrier car seat and have a new rear facing car seat in each of the vehicles. I carried around my 'lil bugger as long as my arm could hold out and Kade has won that battle (darn my weak biceps!) Now I need a game plan on corralling him while I get my shoes and coat on and pack the car for daycare. I used to be able to just have him sit in his car seat and then latch the carrier in the car the very last. For now I try and keep him amused with the "BABY" in the mirror in the front entry way, while I finish getting my coat on etc..now he just wants to go DOWN the stairs--yikes.
Here he is in his new big boy coat and monkey hat. He will leave his hat on only if his coat is on. The minute we take off the coat, the hat is off-ha!

Eating --now this is an interesting event at our house these days! We are trying to get him off the Gerber baby foods and onto the table food we eat. Also we are weaning off bottles and using sippy cups. I'd have to say it is going pretty good, but holy smokes is it a messy and drawn out affair! Most food comes back out of the mouth, smashed on the high chair, and flung in a wild fury out to God knows where. I clean the floor about 7 times a day and find chunks of vegies and cheese in some interesting places when I least expect it. Now why did I complain about breasfeeding again???

Who Me? Nope... I'm perplexed! I think Hunter put that smooshed food on the wall!

Emptying cupboards is what Kade lives for. The minute Chad and I start cooking (or even when we are no where near the kitchen). Out comes all the tupperware, then he goes over to the towel drawer and flings all the contents around the kitchen, THEN off to the chip/bread drawer which he removes random items and has already sat on my new loaf of bread. I will find towels with the chips and tupperware in the towels. So after I'm done cleaning smashed babyfood off the floor and walls, I get to follow him around and put back all the contents of these drawer. He also loves to pull out all his blankets from his bedroom drawers and lets not forget the pants drawer. We had to go out and buy a new garbage can for the kitchen that has a lock (yes they do make them) I'd find him either putting tupperware in it or dragging items OUT of it--Yuckie!
BUSTED!

FIRST WORD Kade's first word is BABY! He loves to see babies and gives them big open mouth kisses. He loves to see Isaac but sometimes gets too excited and we need to watch him closely as he thinks the baby wants to be struck in the face and tummy with the excited appendagesof a 1 year old. Nope Sorry Sweetie! Here he is giving "kisses" to Isaac.

So mommy is on her pitty pot and is so sad that her baby is no longer a baby. I just want to cry out loud when I walk by all the cute Carter clothes in the mall that only fit up to 12 months. We've had the most precious year we will ever experience and I want to savor every moment of it. At the same time I'm so excited to see my baby become a big boy and I'm already planning our BIG BOY events for when I get my butt out of school. Next fall I think I will sign him up for Kinder Music, which is one night/week music & dancing class for babies. Kade loves to "get down" to the beat of the music...It is HILARIOUS! For now I leave you with one of my precious moments I will forever miss...
