Happy Halloween!

Kade's 1st Halloween was spooktacular-ha! He had lots of fun as he dressed up as a lion. He had fun at daycare, he got dressed up there and they took the kids around to other classrooms in a big stroller. At first he cried but he soon forgot that he was dressed up and then had a blast. Here he is to say "Boo" to everyone!
Later that night, we took Kade to the mall and strolled him around to see all the kids dressed up. He was his typical "concerned" self but didn't take him too long to warm up and take part as "Kade the scary Lion".
Um, you want me to wear "this" in public??

No thanks! I will arch my back in defiance...I want out of this deal.

Oh geez, it gets worse...I have a tail too?

How am I gonna get the ladies looking like this? Fine! I'll crawl around and scare people
...RRRAaaahhhRR!
Are we done yet?
We took these pictures in Eddie Bauer while daddy was trying on jeans. Kade was getting a little restless, so I let him get out and crawl around the dressing room. Kade LOVED watching all the other kids dressed up at the mall. By about 7:30 he fell asleep for the night and so we all went out to Ground Round for supper, while Kade slept in his car seat. It was a great Halloween!

I'm back to blog land!

I know it has been a while since the last update on Mr. Destructo (his new nick name that suits him PERFECT)! He has been a very busy boy these last couple weeks and I can't even keep up with daily changes. I just take things slowly and savor every minute that I have with him.

First I need to update everyone (whom I'm sure know already), but Kade's best friend Isaac William Mosbrucker arrived a couple weeks ago on Tuesday October 14th! What a cutie pie and now I'm soooo jealous that my little baby is all grown up (compared to Isaac anyways). Here is a picture of us with him. As you can tell by Kade's reaction, he is not too excited to share attention with a new born. He has competition now!!

The week before last our whole family had the stomach flu! Poor Kade didn't eat much of anything for almost a week...scared the beejeezus out of me! But THEN we had to take a 4 hour trip one way over the weekend. It was very interesting to say the least. We actually ventured out with the flu bug to attend Megan & Ryan's wedding in Beulah. It was soooo BEAUTIFUL, I'm so glad we got to make the trip. Kade did really well and we also spent some time with Grandpa Fischer, here they are together with his dog "Buster".
We also had professional pictures taken in the park, since within the last couple of weeks. These are shots Chad & I took afterwards, they turned out ok, but there is a reason we pay the professionals...that's for Sure!

I love my Grandma!

Grandma Nancy came to visit this last weekend and we had a blast. Kade gave her lots of love and laughs.
Grandma brought Kade this super cute outfit, he had no problems posing and strutting his stuff!
I tried on his Halloween outfit and I'm a bit worried that he will not wear it...uuuggh! So this might have been his big Halloween debute! (Look at those 2 bottom teeth)Kade played with some new toys that he got over the weekend. He loves to stand so I got him this musical toy with different play stations. And of course he flirted the whole time! He just rolled around and gave little flirty smirks to granma, it was so cute!
Hint hint to all the other grandma/grandpas out there!! Kade misses & loves you all :-)

9 Months!

Kade will turn 9 months on Thursday! He is doing so much and we are having a blast with him!He now sits in a cart like a big boy when we are shopping and he sits in a high chair when we go out to eat. Normally he is in his car seat but now he loves to get out and explore his surroundings.

Thursday, Chad & I will take him to his 9 month wellness check...all should go well and we actually don't have a mile long list of questions this time.
Kade loves his bath time and will play with his toys and splash all over. He loves to crawl in the tub and stand. I should win an Olympic award for wrestling him like a wet fish to keep him from drowning or breaking his head open. Mommy needs a bath by the time we are done with his!

He loves playing with us and crawling over the top of us. He is now in trouble in daycare because he crawls up to the babies and pokes around on them and makes them CRY. He is already a little bully! Now at night when I rock him to sleep, he grabs my lips and glasses and hair and has actually tried to pull out my teeth!!
He is threatening to walk and loves to pull himself up on things. He likes to climb the kitchen barstools and push his high chair around. Gives mommy a heart attack b/c I don't want him falling on the hardwood floors.
Our little guy is far from a baby anymore. His favorite word is Ba (don't think its a word but that's allllll he says). So we of course ask him what a sheep says...he's so SMART!!!

Cooookies!

If anyone knows me they know my addiction for sugar, but THE BEST sugar fix would be Aunt Doris' HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!! Story goes, that my first word was COOKIE (surprise I know) and said it when I was eating these made by my Aunt when I was really little. So everytime I said cookie, I got another one & probably was able to handle a large quantity of them :-)
Soooo, this last weekend, I received a care package in the mail with ooodles of homemade cookies from Doris... so we could pass on the tradition to Kade. Sit back and enjoy the story of Kade's FIRST COOKIE!
Hey Ma, what is this?? I'm big now..give me the whole thing would ya?Chomp, Chomp...This is really TASTEY!!Ma!! Hold it steady so I can get a BIG biteWaaaahh!
I only have my bottom 2 teeth and can't get any bites off,
Aaaaaah!!MMM, sniff sniff...
Ok now I'm better if you break it off for me
We do make a good team mom,
and I LOVE my cookie treat!
Sorry to report that he did not say "cookie", but mom and dad helped Kade eat the cookies
Thanks AUNT DORIS!!!

Comments

Feel free to leave comments for Kade. You just click on the "comments" below each post. I will gather them and keep them for Kade to look at when he gets older. I'm SURE he will think they are super cool (OK maybe when he's 30-ha!)

Shark Attack!

Well we have been busy at the Fischer household and I have ALOT of blogging to do, so much has happened! Tonight I only have a couple minutes so will do one blog of my baby w/a bad hair day. He must have went to bed w/wet hair and it was so funny in the morning.
It looked like he had a shark fin and the dumb thing wouldn't go down so I had to take him to daycare like this!!! When Chad picked him up everyone was laughing and said he looked like a shark crawling around all day.

Maaaaaa! I'm tired what are you doing waking me up...
I'd NEVER do that to you!
I just am not myself until I've had my morning Binky
Aaaah! That's better,
If I could just wake up enough to find my lips...
Fine, just get your side shot...I've got a lot to do today...
(look real close Its kind of hidden by his white mobile)
