He wasn't too sure what to think of the animals, close up. He loves pointing them out in books. Some of his favorites or "hoeseez" (horsies), "mawkies" (monkies), and of course DUCKS!

We went to see the wolves, but it was too hot outside so they were sleeping in their dens. Here is the place where you can sit inside and watch them through a window. No action on the growling beasts, but Kade liked the little old time cabin.
***Kade, DON'T touch the bear trap, ouch!***
Then mommy freaked because, "shouldn't these be INSIDE the cage?"
***Kade, stay OUTSIDE of the cage!***
So here is my little terror, CHASING the poor animals. He came around the backside of this feeding stand like a raging bull to get at this poor innocent bird...
Still chasing and boy he's got some good form! ***We did not have any bird or toddler fatalities***
We ended our trip with a ride on the carousel, turns out he doesn't like to ride the horses. He squealed and clamped his legs shut when I attempted to put him on one. So mommy and Kade rode the very exciting BENCH. Boooring-ha!
We had a fun day, and learned to go when it is not so hot out...then the animals will actually be out. Kade is a huge animal lover and we look forward to many more trips to the zoo! (not sure the birds are looking forward to our visit though).
