I love my Daddy!

Well I'm so far off in my blogging, not only do I NOT have Christmas pics ready...but still finishing our Halloween outing. I couldn't leave out these pictures that showed the bonding between the babies and the daddies. There is not one momma out there, whose heart wouldn't melt while watching these guys and their new adventures.

If you asked these two daddies, ADVENTURES would be an understatment~ha!
Christmas time, this year, really got me all sentimental about my own dad. This was Grandpa Mel's FAVORITE time of the year. I so.. so... wish Kade could've been spoiled rotten by him. That was the one thing Grandpa would've been excited for, to watch the excitement in Kade's eyes as he ripped open the presents. His one rule about presents was no matter how big the gift...it WOULD be WRAPPED! I'm the lazy type who likes to find the bag to throw it in with all the tissue paper on top (wouldn't fly w/Melvin).
Melvin would be very proud of what a good dad, that Chad has been to his Grandson. Chad and Mel were very close and he always claimed to have had 3 kids, Cherie, Shawn and Chad. I took time out this holiday season to remember him. We had almost 19 inches of snow (he loved a good snowstorm). I'd glance out the window and watch the flakes come down just for him. We also had chocolate covered cherries, nobody is a huge fan, but we eat them for Mel. Finally, I bought Kade way more toys than he should have gotten, but spoiled him a little more, just for Grandpa!
There is nothing cuter in the whole world!! We love you daddies!!

Quick update

Wow, my timing between posts is really getting LONG. You can thank my almost 2 year old for that. I have just a few minutes to update, and not enough time for new pictures.
Kade has been getting his 2 year molars and is really wanting one on one time with mommy/daddy. I think I have blood coming out of my ears from the constant whining. I know he is probably in a lot of pain, but my ears are hurting too! Plus he has had troubles in the diaper department and that has caused him to have diaper rash on top of everything. He's in pain on both ends...literally. Uggh!
So he is very clingy, whiny, tempermental, testing mommy's limits. Then the poor kid fell in the store yesterday, landed on the shopping cart wheel, on his cheek (right beside his eye). It was instantly black/blue. This kid can not catch a break for nothing. So again more crying (rightfully so this time). I of course acted like his eye had been punctured out and freaked the big one. I put my hands over my eyes and danced around in circles yelling, is he bleeding...is he bleeding. Then yelled to the Lord above...Oh my God and hyperventiliated a bit. Chad is standing there with a screaming kid and out of control mommy. We made it through the ordeal, but I don't do well when my 'lil Kade is in danger~ha.
Kade is really developing well in all areas. He likes to sing all types of songs, does little projects, and has a very good memory. He has a sweet tooth like mommy and would eat cookies all day, given the chance.
We made it through a hair cut this weekend, without a huge tantrum. Thanks to MY great idea of giving him M&Ms during the cut. He just sat back and watched Elmo on the TV and ate M&Ms and he actually got a really darn cute hair cut for once. Typically he's screaming and crawling out of the chair and the end result is...let's just say...shorter. Now he's got one hot do!
Well its getting late, just wanted to send out an update, before I forget what he's been up to. Uggh, maybe I don't want to remember this stage...I'm exhausted. Good timing for his cute haircut...now he's way to cute to get mad at. Happy Holidays! I have a bunch of pics to post and more on the way. Kade is super excited and loves to see the Christmas lights!

Swimming

On Halloween, we stayed at a hotel so the boys (Kade & Ikie) could go swimming. SWIM they did and LOVED it. We had a great night, they swam, went Trick or Treating, and then we went out to eat at Space Aliens.
Looks like the daddies make good swim instructors!

Ok, scratch that comment!!
Definitely a FISHer...ha!

Halloween 2009~A Monkey and a giraffe!

Here is our little "monkey"! Kade had a great Halloween and spent it with Isaac, the "Giraffe". They were both on their best behaviors and got to go through the mall on their "Trick or Treating" mission.

Dad, Really, do I HAVE to do this??The Giraffe, doesn't look too enthusiastic either~ha!
I hope this monkey doesn't attack giraffes!

Kade and Isaac~Best Buds!

Well it's been a while since my last blog **Sorry**
We've been having a lot of fun lately and really starting to see Kade grow and become a social little butterfly (most days anyways). Some days he can give you a dirty little look and become offended that you would even speak to him~the nerve mommy~ Sheesh!
Anyways, it has been the most fun to see Kade and Isaac now interacting. They are best of friends and Kade loves to chant "Ikie's Ouse" "Ikie's Ouse" when we get in the car, even though we are not always going to Ikies house.
It all starts with two super cute and innocent looking toddlers...
Then in about 1/3rd of a second, TROUBLE starts brewing...
Throwing toys down the stairs ...Jumping on their toys...They go from super happy...To a super meltdown, when we least expect it...But who can stay mad at this toddler duo?
They use their cuteness as a weapon against mommy/daddy...They are inseperable and even go out trick or treating together! Kade was a monkey and Isaac a giraffe. One day they will forgive us~ha!Now they get into big tiffs. No matter what it is, if one of them has a toy, the other runs to take it out of their hand and then the fightin' begins. I believe Kade is eyeballing Isaac's toy here and is getting ready to pounce. We are teaching "sharing" and they actually are doing pretty good. The biggest fights involve sippy cups of milk. Kade posing long enough for a picture as he fights for Isaac's bear... At the end of the day, they are best buds again and talk over the days events while snacking on cheeto puffs.
We are very excited to watch their little relationship grow!!!

G-Ma Penny!

Kade was very excited as Grandma Penny came for a visit. She got to stay for a really long time, like 5 days! This is pretty groovy stuff for Kade... and for mommy and daddy too. We had A LOT of fun and, as always, were sad to see her go.
Horsie Rides!
Of course we HAVE to play w/Doris the duck and his regular 'ole Duckie. Here is Grandma and Kade playing "chase" with the duckies. Looks like Kade wasn't sharing Doris, kept her all to himself! We don't get to see the Grandpas and Grandmas nearly as much as we want to. It was fun to have them come even before we had Kade, but now to see his face light up when we say Grandma or Grandpa is coming, is just priceless! We are looking forward to this weekend, when Grandma Nancy will be coming over!

Ok, I have ALOT of blogging about Halloween and Isaac/Kade escapads, but have been busy chasing my monkey all over. He has gotten SO BIG these last couple of weeks even. Now if you ask him where something is he says, "RIGHT THERE". He can count to 10 and even can pick out number when you show him. Uncle Shawn bought him tub fishies, that each have a number from 1-10 on it and they stick to the tub. So now Kade grabs one and says...seben, well what the heck, it was a seven! I sometimes want to keep him a little 3 month old, but NOPE, he's not having it. He is so big and I'm so proud of all his accomplishments!
He loves the water, here he is SWIMMING in the tub, not so fun when he starts 'SPWASCHWING MOMMA, SPWASCHWING!!!
I'll post much more later...PROMISE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

It's official, Isaac is now a ONE YEAR OLD! Wow, now things are getting fun as Kade and his best friend are starting to play together more. On October 14th, Ike's birthday, we got to go over and help celebrate!
The boys played with toys and this pumpkin puppy in the background, was suppose to be a hit! Ikie loves it and you can see how Kade took to it. Its little ears flap up and down and it sings a song. Well, looks like Kade needed a minute or two longer to warm up to him. (It was getting late~ha)
And of course there was plenty of CAKE! Isaac was a good mannered little boy (and a bit disappointing~ha), he neatly touched the cake just a bit and tried to lick it off his fingers.Happy Birthday Ikie! Here's Isaac at Kade's first Birthday party!! Awww, don't cry Amanda if your reading this...Alrighty then, good thing I brought along my professional cake eating piggy! He has had a whole 9 months longer than Isaac to perfect his cake face smashing ability. He takes pride in his work and seems he has some strategy that keeps me on my toes...
He basically stole Isaac's show and put one on of his own (I can tell these boys are gonna be fighting for attention already...OYE!)
Alrighty then..here's how you eat a 1st Birthday Cake...
#1...Verify Dad is turned the OTHER way...#2...OPEN WIDE, Chomp...Chomp...#3...STUFF, STUFF, SMOOSHIE...#4...Take a breather, there's lots more to eat..time for a trip down memory lane for my 1st Birthday cake eating experience...Wow, I had the STUFF, STUFF, SMOOSHIE move down perfect!Oooh, the face plant, that was PERFECTION..OK, break over, continue the STUFF, STUFF, SMOOSHIE manuver... #And Lastly, Call mommie to come clean up...
MAAAAA!
We've had so much with Isaac and Kade and are so fortunate they are so close in age. Even though they seem worlds apart at this young age, we are slowly seeing them get excited to play together and give us grown ups time to talk~Yay!
Kade gets excited to go to Ikie's ouse (doesn't pronounce the "h" for house). He sometimes just blurts out "Demin, Ikie, Weezie, Mana", all in one sentence. He's pretty funny.
As much as I get excited for Birthday's I will have a big mommy heart attack on January 16th, when my baby is 2. I love you Kade, you will always be MY BABY!

My baby's 1st B-Day
(I just want to pinch his little fat legs here!)
