7 Months!

Kade turned 7 months last Saturday! He is so fun now that he is older and we are seeing his little personality emerge. For the most part he is a very content & happy baby. Poor mom and dad usually get him at his crabby time after daycare when he has had enough for the day. He still is not bad but will voice his opinion a bit more during the hours of 5-7pm.

As of today, Kade is at the following milestones:

• Toothless smile
• Rocks back & forth on hands & knees
• Won't hold his bottle by himself yet (even though I know he is capable)
• Can grab toys, such as balls, and passes them from one hand to the other
• Eats rice cereal and pureed fruits/veggies
• Doesn't like the consistency of puffed rice or other solids quite yet~will spit them out or gag on them (want to see mommy panic??)
• Will scream when he is being ignored and starts spitting (not sure why, but he can slop up a shirt in less than 5 minutes!)
• Sits perfectly straight and can play toys without assistance
• Laughs when tickled and loves to play "peek a boo"
• Grabs anything in site and will put it in his mouth
• For some reason is in love with my keyboard and beats on it while I try to check my email
• Rolls both ways
• Now sleeps with a blanket, he cuddles it so cute. He needs his pacifier at night and wakes us up if he can't find it. We just plop it in and back off to night night he goes.
• Wears size 12-18months (The 12s are getting pretty tight already)
• Goes bananas in his Johnny Jumper. When he sees we are watching, he jumps like crazy and gives us this BIG smile like he's accomplished something pretty cool

Well, Kade has spent almost every weekend at the lake. Here are some pictures of our last outing. He didn't stay in the water too long as it was pretty cold for him. Poor dad had to blow up his little car for 3 minutes of swim time!
