Brynn Leigh Fischer, where do I even begin? This little Diva keeps her momma hoppin' that's for sure. She is definetly filled with a princess attitude and is going to be one independent woman! She has her mommy wrapped around her finger (we won't even say how brainwashed she has her father already). She loves to get all dressed up. Mommy buys her favorite outfits/accessories and she supplies the hottie tottie attitude to match.
Can you say attitude?
This is her "first warning" look, back away from my peas lady!
To all my fans...a fishy kiss
Ya? What are you looking at??
An Emotional Birthday Girl...Happy 1st Birthday,
I guess she doesn't take aging well??
So she has been an interesting infant/toddler. Her favorite words are "uh oooh" and HI! She will actually say "uh oooh" and then throw something on the floor. Nice. She loves to walk into a room and say Hiiiiiiiii! She is super flirty too.
She has been delayed in crawling, pulling up to sitting position and also pulling up to standing. At her 1 year well check the Dr. said she was fine and strong and felt she was just stubborn and didn't want to do it.
I wasn't so convinced. The stinker can walk so why can't she do those other things? She would try her heart out so it wasn't that she didn't have the motivation.
So Amanda suggested we try the chiropractor. So I took her there a few weeks ago. Immediately he found her left hip to be very stiff and basically "stuck". This has prevented her from normal movements and pain when trying to crawl or pull up her knees. This explained why she's had soooo many problems with her physical movements. He placed her face down in his lap and CRACKOLA, put her hip into place and loosened the ligaments. Turns out Brynn is not his biggest fan, but mommy sure is. Within a few weeks, she is now pulling up to standing, can get into crawling position, and walks without assistance!!!!!
She still wants to army crawl and just pull her legs but it seems that is how she learned to crawl and she can't figure out to just get those legs under her. I still plan on taking her to physical therapy for evaluation, just to make sure she is doing good.
Now one can take the bad with the good, because she now gets up in her crib (ya finally at 13 months sheesh) and won't go to sleep. She'd rather fling her blankets over the edge and cry for me to come retrieve them. I did have a whole year of not chasing down a run away toddler, that was pretty nice.
So now I've put on my running shoes and am ready to chase toddlers again. She knows when I'm coming for her too, she'll actually take off in a sprint and start giggling.
I still think toddler chasing should be in the olympics. Put and obstacle up of stairs, sharp things, electrical outlets (ok maybe pictures of them for safety, ha) and let the games begin. Those toddlers will make the most elite contestant look like a fool. Then comes the round for toddler dressing and feeding. You can train until your hearts content, but those toddlers will give you a run for your money. Oh how about the bonus round for bath time! Diaper changing could be very interesting, throw in the bonus round with diaper rash and see them try to get that cream on. Ok you can see how my poor mind has gone haywire and I get off topic.
We've been super excited to have a girlie girl in the house. Daddy melts into a pile of nonparental gooeyness, so I've had to be the "bad mommy". She is a good sleeper, eats better than her brother, and knows exactly what she wants. We know we are in for some trouble but will bend over backwards for her, and mommy will make sure to set some boundaries for her. Not so sure about daddy, he is pretty much under her control.
