Introducing Brynn Leigh Fischer!

On May 14, 2011...Brynn Leigh Fischer made her way into our family.  We were blessed with an easy birth and a beautiful healthy baby girl.  8lbs 1.7 oz, she is my big girl.  She is so content and will sleep through the night if I'd let her.  She is total opposite of her brother, she has dark hair and long fingers and toes.  Kade has the whitest hair and complexion and pudgy feet and fingers.

I at least wanted to post some pics, I will be blogging more details later (hopefully, ha).

Here are her hospital pictures...

Here are her very early "poses".  I expect to take many pictures with all her cute outfits.

Kade has been a very good "Big Brother".  He does have his moments of jealousy though, we are trying to work through that.   Kade and Grandma had a "welcome home" sign for when we came back from the hospital.  Also he had picked some "fresh dandylands"  (which he calls them) from the yard and put them in the purple bowl.

Awww....nothing more precious...

We are alive and well!

Mommy is just plain LAZY when it comes to blogging.  Wow, that was a long break.  SORRY!!!!  I figured I'd better get back on track as there will be a lot to talk about soon when Kade's baby sister makes her arrival.  Her due date is May 17th, but I have a feeling it will be sooner than later.

Kade is sooooooooo excited to be a big brother.  Tonight I asked him what I should be packing in my bag to the hospital.  He suggested a blanket, pillow, and some pants!  Ha, he is super funny and smart.  He can't wait to help with diapers and bring the baby toys.  He is so proud to be a "Big Brother".  I really think he will do well with the new addition (probably better than mom and dad, ha!)

We moved Kade into the bedroom downstairs in December.  So he's been a big boy and goes to bed by himself (sometimes mommy/daddy lay by him for a bit), but he stays there all night.  He got a brand new bunk bed and we did a trucks/bus/airplanes theme in his room.  Daddy painted the room a couple shades of blue.  I'll have to take a pic soon.  I get up 2-3 times a night (thanks pregnancy) and check on him.  I find him in all kinds of wierd positions in his new bed and fix him to his original position.  PS he sleeps on the bottom only, in case someone reading this was starting to sweat!

We have the nursery ready for the new addition.  I did lots of PINK.  She will definetly be our little princess.  We used Kade's crib and bedroom set for her, dad painted and we girlied up the whole room.  Her closet is full of all kinds of dresses and skirts, shorts, tank tops, and sleepers.  I got lots of pink blanket and just a whole lot of pink stuff.  I still have to wash it all yet, but we are getting very close to being ready for her.

I'm doing well despite having a baby bump bigger than Octomom, ya....not kidding.  I had someone ask me how many days I had left, when I had 8 weeks left.  Today someone almost bumped into me and apologized saying I didn't want to bump into a pregnant lady who is due in a week, looked at me puzzled and questioned...2 weeks?  Um, 6 weeks.  I do have to admit I get HUGE and look full term about 5-6 months into my pregnancies...o well...I get one heck of a cute baby out of the deal!  I have been having some contractions but have been in to the Dr. and have been able to get them under control.  At one point, I thought the little one was going to make her debut at 32 weeks.  We are at 34 and no baby yet, phew!!!  Kade was week 38 and 8lbs 14oz...so he was ready.  If I had to guess, I'd say week 37-38 for this one...so we'll see what happens.

I will try to get better with the postings!!!!  Right now Chad is outside sandbagging as we are dealing with out annual spring flooding issues.  Flooding????  All I can think about is baby planning.

Kade is Potty Trained!

Had to report my little munchkin is finally potty trained!!  We had issues with him going #2, but he is FINALLY telling us when he has to go.  He tells us he has to make "bombers", was my little trick I remembered from Aunt Doris...tee hee.
He still sleeps in a pull up at night, as he's not always dry in the morning.  He wears big boy underwear every day to daycare and at home, so we are soooo proud!
This is the milestone needed for Kade to start PRESCHOOL, yep...he will be very shortly.  I believe in a month or two.  He is super excited to be a preschooler.  He sometimes gets ahead of himself and tells me he is a teenager.  Whoa buddy, slow it down.

Kade's 3rd Birthday!

Wow, year 3 already and how fun things are getting. It is fun now to see Kade get excited about Birthday parties. He was really pumped about his "Buzz Lightyear and Woody" cake and also going to the Holiday Inn. I'm guessing this will be our annual thing with Kade as there isn't much else to do in the middle of January.

Uhhh...who is picking at the cake already????

Finally, the benefits of having a 3 year old...Kade enjoys doing dishes...

Washing the countertops and....
even drying...and also
 the kitchen table....
Oooh and best of all, sweeping and moppig the floors!!!
Well in addition to cleaning, Kade likes to play a game of taking EVERY SINGLE TOY from his room and piling it in the living room, as he makes a "house" or a "boat".  You have to watch him or he literally will move every single item out.  Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!

Halloween and Xmas decorating

In the season of the holidays, here is Halloween and Xmas decorating all at once.

Kade the cow and Isaac the dinosaur

My sugar addict, reaping the rewards of his hard work
Kade did really well decorating the tree this year.  He took it really serious and didn't even stick a nasty x-mas ornament hook through his fingers. Yay!

So serious!  He found the perfect spot for each ornament
Kade is VERY excited for Xmas.  He's already sat on Santa's lap and put his first request in for a Blue Donkey.  Ok whatever...????

The "not so fun" side of parenting

These are a few of my "not" so favorite thing of parenting:

Fevers...
 And Potty Training!

Yes, I have an almost 3 year old, who is NOT potty trained yet.  Really....this is time consuming stuff.  Kade is getting more excited about it.  Loves the underwear, so I think we are making progress.  Daycare reports that they are ready to take him in underwear as he is telling them when he has to go, and then he actually does.  Not so much at home though, yet.  Still a work in progress, but I'm confident I will not be sending him off to college in diapers.

Kade's going to be a BIG BROTHER!

Kade is showing off his new "BIG BROTHER" shirt!  Yes, Kade is expecting his new brother/sister on May 17, 2011.
