Pumpkin Patch

We got to go to the pumpkin patch today.  Now I have a bit of inspiration to get the blog updated a bit (or at least with today's adventures).  Here is my little pumkin picker outer.  He liked to go through and check out their selection.

Gotta love that plumbers crack!
He loved crawling around on the haybales.  At first he was a bit weirded out as there were so many people around.  But when it came to crawling on the bales...the smiles finally came out.  When we left this part, Kade said.  "I loved being on the farm!"

Then came the petting zoo.  He loved that part too.  I wasn't too excited that the kids were encouranged to put their fingers in with the chickens...ouch!

What up with these ducks' hair do's????

Like little toupees!
Then came the PUMPKIN COOKIE DECORATING!  Hmm, they didn't look much like pumpkins to me, but ok!  He got a cookie with icing and M&M's and reece's pieces.  He took this VERY SERIOUSLY!

Taste Testing

Mmmmm!  Made it just right

Yeah Kade, using the napkin...lots of cookies still in his mouth though....

Before we left, we of course had to go down the slide.....

How much cuter can you get?

It was a beautiful day and Kade had a blast.  It is these types of experiences that you really enjoy having your children and watching the excitement in their eyes.  The last thing we felt like doing was standing in line with a bunch of kids, but it was well worth it.  We can't wait for many more fun times with Kade!

My poor blog

Yes, I've been highly neglecting this site.  All I can say is I got tired and lazy.  There are billions of pictures in my camera that haven't even been uploaded to my computer.  Now it feels like too many to go through and figure out.
I WILL get there though.  It is sad to see summer has come and gone already.  Fall has swooped in with a vengence and bye bye warm summer days and nights.
Kade has been doing very well.  He is such a little gentleman.  We went through a little bit of tantrum stage but for the most part he doesn't have them.  I tell him every day how proud I am of him, he is a really neat kid to have around, I got very lucky!
We have spent almost every weekend at the lake in our camper.  Kade gets excited to go, we may go out again this weekend, but we are about ready to call it quits for the season.  We actually bought a new one (yes I have pics, but have not downloaded them...big surprise) so we are trying to get every weekend we can out of it this season.
Kade has already started an early preschool program!  He is adjusting very well and the teacher commented on how he plays very nice with the other kids and hasn't cried once.  We are working on the potty training but he just doesn't want to do it.  I'm hoping the "light" will just go on for him one day and he'll take to it.  In January he will be starting preschool and he HAS to be potty trained so we are on a pretty tight schedule.  For some reason, I don't get too excited about it and feel like I don't want to rush it.
Kade has started a new routine at night and wants to fall asleep with mom and dad in bed.  This has its pros/cons.  On the postive, no more taking time out of my night to rock and rock and rock and rock, waiting for him to fall asleep.  BUT then he is up until 10:00 at night, which can't be that good for not even a 3 year old.  He still naps 2-3 hours a day, probably because he is up by 7 every morning.  When he falls asleep, I just take him over to his bed and he stays there all night.  Some nights he brings his blankie and pillow over to our bed in the middle of the night, flings them on our bed, climbs in, and off to bed he goes...then I just take him right back~ha!  Dad likes him in the bed, but I sleep better with him in his own bed.
All in all we have one low maintenance, happy go lucky kiddo!  (Thank you Lord above!)  I'll have some pics up in the future (hopefully near future).

Grandpa Fischer

Earlier this summer we paid a visit to Grandpa LeeRoy and Denise!  Kade was a bit frightened at first but in the end, I think he became a fan of Grandpa's loader tractor.

Camping 2010 Kade & Isaac

Alright, Let's start this post off with an oldie but goodie from camping 2009.  Here is what Momma Mossie and Fischer were dealing with.  Two little "bundles of joy" aka monsters of destruction.  Now this year they are bigger and more "joyous" than ever.  We do find some time for fun, but camping with two little ones, becomes a game of "how can the mommies entertain the little ones long enough for a moments peace/quiet".  We've become quite creative, I have to admit.
Awww, aren't they precious?
And here they are today...Yay, they no longer choke in their life jackets, whew hew!!
They look the cute and innocent part, but looks can be deceiving~ha!  It has been so fun to watch these two grow up together and share some of the greatest memories, like camping.  The best purchase we ever made was a handy dandy golf cart!  They boys LOVE to go for rides, and this has also been a "moments of peace/quiet" for all involved in the trip.  The boys are quiet and love to ride around the camp ground.
Even get some hugs out of them!
You'll find this dangerous duo, doing everything together.  Eating for instance, which both of the plates were later located on the floor with sticky syrup pancakes and bacon smeared on the deck.
If one is doing something, the other follows along...
Let's enjoy this peacful moment of Isaac, mowing the lawn...
before Kade tries to swoop in and retrieve this toy...
All kinds of toys are tested out at our campground.  Which ones entertain the longest???  We really haven't found a winner yet.  So far the golf cart rules and anything that is a potential danger will keep their interest.  For instance grills, lighters, camp fires, wood, bugs, and anything sharp need to be kept FAR away!
I'll post some more on "boating with two toddlers under 3" later.  That is even more entertaining!  This summer has been really fun and the kids have been loving it.  Despite some tantrums, bruises, snotty noses, and tears...Momma Mossie and Fischer are determined to have some fun with those boys!

Boys Toys!

Thanks once again to Uncle Myron, who has thought of Kade and picked out some really neat barnyard toys for Kade's barn that he built. Kade is in LOVE with the toys and it was fun for mom & dad to watch him open them up.  He absolutely loves getting presents and surprises.   He was so excited to pick the boxes out of the bag, because he knew it would be something pretty special.
Ooohh!!!! This is just what I've wanted!!
Getting some help from daddy, I think I saw daddy getting pretty excited about it too!
Thanks for the help dad, now you get some kisses...
Kade takes his play time really serious and makes sure all the cows and horses have hay to eat.  He lines them all up in the barn and takes them for tractor rides.
Well maybe not serious ALL the time...looks like he's made a beard out of the hay...
Here is the finished project!
Thanks Uncle Myron, you've made farming a possibility at the Fischer's.
