GAIN

GAIN!! GAIN!!...That is what Kade now cries out for Again, Again!! He is totally into the rough housing with daddy, and I need to patrol extra hard when those two are together. They are ususally up to no good and giving mommy a HEART ATTACK!
Eeehhhh he he he, tickle monster is starting
GAIN, GAIN, GAIN... SQEAL SQEAL...(he's good at that)
I normally think I need to get my hearing checked after one of their "playtimes"
YAY, this is my Favorite, DADDY...

EEEEEEEhhhhhhhhhh! Here we GO!!!

OH DEAR LORD, BE STILL MY HEART...AAAACK!!!
Kade just turned 21 months today! He is full of pep and energy and the rougher the better...that's how he likes it. He's 100% boy that is for sure! Looks like Kade and daddy have a bit too much fun for mommy's liking, but I'm always on "patrol" and trying to keep everyone in one piece.

Monkey costume coming along

The costume (minus the body of it w/tail) is going well...
Except, he seems to think he's a lion and Raaarrhs at us. Notice he has his hat AND PAWS on his feet!
RAAAWW...

WWWWRRRRH!
It looks like he casts a spell of evil on us as he jets his arms out. Pretty funny!
Now I'm a little poo pooey, as I think daycare is no longer dressing up on Halloween (sigh). They sent a note home requesting a picture of them in their Halloween costumes so their friends can see them dressed up. I suppose they don't want to mess with all the diaper changes~ha. They are having a "pajama day" the day before Halloween, maybe he can wear his "monkey" pajamas..wink wink!

My baby is growing up!

My biggest news: Today, Kade said his FIRST SENTENCE! It was "GOD IS GREAT" "AMEN"! Yes I do believe this is a complete gramatical sentence~ha! He was eating supper and while I was washing his hands, he screeches Gawg gis gate Mahmen! We called up Grandma Nancy right away and he recited it for her too, so we have a witness! He is so dang smart! I'm such a proud momma already. Kade goes to daycare at a church, so they must be teaching him table prayers...he even had his hands folded. Bad mommy never thought to teach him myself as I'm too busy making sure he eats enough and scraping his leftovers off the walls~ha! So now that I've been enlightened, we will have to practice our prayers!

Here are some misc pics of my sweet pumpkin pie, growing up before my eyes. We are nearing 21 months and I'm so in love with this guy. Every day he learns something new and just gets so excited for everything.
This is an older pic, but he sure loves his books.
Showing off at the lake...What he does in his high chair, when he's not praying...little escape artist.Dad, I think this truck needs an overhaul...
He loves to go Nighnie...my good sleeper~phew!
Rumpa pum pum...me & my DRUM
Ridin' my Hoowsie!
PEEK A BOO!
I just love his "Bam Bam" shirt...he looks so big!

Preview to Halloween

We are going to have a little monkey for Halloween! We are getting him used to wearing his hat. He also has the full blown costume, with tail and all. He is now practicing "TRICK OR TREAT" with his pumpkin to fill with candy. Wish us luck...he likes to say OFF OFF when we put the hat on...uh ooh!
But this was our practice round last year, I guess we are making improvements!

GeeePaw, GeeeMaw!

Kade has had alot of visitors lately! Grandma Nancy and Uncle Shawn and Jackie were up a week ago, and then last week we got a visit from both Grandma Penny and Grandpa LeeRoy. It is quite funny b/c Kade has a purple phone that he only talks to Grandpa and Grandma's on. Whenever you ask who he's talking to..its only GPaw or GMaw.
Great, we'll see you then! Grandma reads to me alot! See how I point out the Moowwsie...
(he's wearing his Michael Jordan outfit..thx Terri!)
Grandpa played the buckle board with me, Wow, mommy thinks I look like a really BIG BOY in this picture...
Uhh ohh, I'm being chased...YIKES!
There's nothing more PRECIOUS!!
Thanks everyone for coming to visit us! I know we are far away and love when you can make the trip, as traveling with a toddler is quite the challenge!

Once Upon A Time

We have a future scholar on our hands. Kade LOVES reading books and remembers his favorite part of EVERY book we have. There is no getting past the "Ickie Cowah", "Mooowwse", "Mowkie", "Ageegatowah", "Elmo", and many other characters that he can point out in a sea of books and get to the exact page he is obsessing over at the moment.
TRANSLATION:
Ickie Cow (A cow laying in the weeds, Chad took a weed away from him one day and said ICKIE and since he saw the cow laying in weeds, its now the icky cow)
Mouse~He has a book that he counts the number of chicks in, but is more interested in the mouse hiding in the grass...so he points and says mouse, mouse...but really drawn out more like mowwwhsse.
Monkey~He has a couple of books he like to pick monkey out of.
Alligator~He has a couple books that have these two, hilarious when he tries to pronounce it!
Elmo~He pronounces that one pretty good. Elmo has been a long time hero of his.

Hmmm, let me see if this book is to my liking...

Chickens??? Hmmm...Nope, that will not do...let me see what else I can find...

Oooooh! Now here's what I'm talking about, 5 Little Monkies Jumping on the BED! I could get used to this story, monkies and jumping..I'm liking it!

Silly Monkies! Jump Jump Jump...Aha ha they crack me up!What??? Awwwe, poor Monkies Fell off and Bumped their heads!
THE END!

It has been fun watching him discover all the animals and characters in his books. He has so many different emotions when he is reading and is really passionate about some of them. He will sit in his room by himself and carefully analyze his whole collection. He is definetly a little sponge and each day is getting more fun. Hope it stays this way and he still likes it in school!

Mickey Mouse

We made a trip to Barnes and Noble and let Kade run around freely (with his Monkey "leash" anyways). So my little consumer PICKED OUT HIS FIRST TOY! He normally doesn't grab anything, and if he does I can normally take it away and place back on the shelf and he doesn't care.
Well he just carefully walked around and reviewed all the merchandise, then decided MICKEY was going home with him. There was no removing the mouse from his iron grip. It was kind of exciting for us as he is now an official big boy, and I might just send him to the grocery store today and take care of that for me-ha!
Here is Kade's new "buddy" and is taking a nap with him as we speak. He has given him several kisses on his big nose, but sad to say normally chomps around on his foot...OWIE.
